Here are some links to sites which I have found useful in my work as an editor and film-maker (each opens in a new page):

Final Cut Pro

Apple's site | Apple's FCP Support Site | Apple's FCP Discussion Forum

- links to pages about this excellent application and how to get the most out of it.

Creative Cow

- an invaluable support centre for video professionals, with a good database of tutorials and a useful discussion forum.

Ken Stone's Final Cut Pro

- a site packed with useful articles about FCP techniques

The UK FCP User Group

- a handy discussion forum with a UK bias

The Los Angeles FCP User Group

- bursting with information on the discussion board

Atomic Learning's FCP site

- good for getting the basics

Eureka FCP Plugins

- excellent sets of plugins at an affordable price

CHV Plugins

- another good set of plugins, including a bargain bundle. Also look out for the mightily improved Garbage Matte plugin

Joe's Filters for FCP

- famous among FCP users and, again, not expensive

Graeme Nattress

- home of the smart and useful Film Effects filter, as well as several other plugins

Other film sites

Shooting People

- you may have arrived here from my link on the Shooting People site, in which case it needs no introduction. The UK's principal online independent film community

Raindance

- more than a film festival, Raindance offers training, publications and newsletters

London Academy of Radio, Film & TV

- where I learned to make films better than the ones I'd made in my back garden

Simply DV

- highly useful camera and DV review site, with thorough and helpful discussion forum

Creative Video

- supplier of professional camera and post-production equipment. Often have good sale prices

Please let me know if any of the above links are dead or not working in some other way. And please also contact me if you have come across any other useful sites, and I'll add them to the list!
