Three Minute Moments

Directed by Don Allen. Romantic comedy about speed-dating, which received its world premiere at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square, London in January 2007.

We've Got the Toaster

Toaster Productions, 2006, 90 minutes. (Format: DV) (IMDb entry)

Directed by Mike Laloë. Hilarious comedy about a teen house party that goes wrong. The film had its world premiere in September 2006, and has been shown in independent cinemas across the US, the UK and Israel. The film was released on DVD in May 2008.

A Friendly Game

Produced and directed by Onome James. Drama about a Nigerian refugee who turns out to be a squash prodigy.

Charles Edward Brooke School for Girls

I edited a number of short dramas made by Year 10 students as part of a week-long film-making project. I also authored the DVDs which the students could sell for a profit.

Out in the Cold

Directed by Andrew Cussens. Intelligent, character-led drama about a young Polish musician stranded in London. The most viewed film at the 2005 Edinburgh Film Festival videotheque. The trailer is available on the film's website.

Orpheus in the Underground

The Dreamer Productions, 2004, 25 minutes. (Format: DV)

Directed by Tipu Sultan. A spectacular re-telling of the Orpheus myth, drenched in dream imagery. In addition to editing the film, I organised and edited the dialogue ADR and composed some additional music. The screenshots on this page are from this production. You can view part of Orpheus here.

Produced and directed by Alastair Dobbie. Amusing short, filmed in Los Angeles with a US cast and crew. You can view part of Coco here.

Last Train Home

The Dreamer Productions, 2004, 10 minutes. (Format: DV) (IMDb entry)

Directed by Tipu Sultan. Enjoyably silly horror-comedy, without pretensions, filmed entirely in the weird atmosphere of the London Underground by the same team who made Orpheus. A fun piece.

Stanley Kubrick - Who?

Flickerhead Films, 2009. Approx. 30 mins.

Directed by Henry Coleman. Documentary exploring perceptions (and misperceptions) of Kubrick among ordinary movie-goers.

 

Charities

Bhopal Medical Appeal

I am currently compiling a series of ads and other promotional material for this charity, using documentary footage gathered in Bhopal, and concentrating on raising awareness of the second industrial disaster to hit this area: contamination of the ground water. Some of the material was screened at the charity's successful fundraising auction held at Phillips de Pury on 11 October 2010. See the organisation's website.

Promotional video for the launch of the new attraction, including faked news footage in 'Blair Witch' style.

Leytonstone Business and Enterprise School

All enQuiries Productions, 2006, 45 minutes

Video promoting this East London comprehensive school, featuring interviews with staff and students as well as a students' music video and short dramatic scene about bullying, which gave the production a real point of difference.

 

I have also shot and edited many videos for the market research industry, ranging from simple group discussions through to ethnographic research, filming consumers in their own homes talking about their lives and the brands and products they favour.
